As Houston struggles to get back on her feet following the devastating flooding we all just experienced, I was shocked, but not surprised, to learn of the free abortions that are being offered to the Hurricane Harvey victims. Not material assistance, just abortions.Women who would never consider an abortion are now being led to believe that this is their best solution considering their current situation.I can tell you that Planned Parenthood and the other abortion facilities have been very busy since they reopened last week.
We have our two mobile crisis pregnancy centers back on the road and we saw 12 women today (Sept 5th), all first time clients with new pregnancies. We did sustain some flooding in our office and we are working very hard to reopen and continue offering our Curriculum of Life program and free pregnancy tests. We are also in the process of contacting our moms to determine what they might need and finding a way to get it to them. BUT, we need your help in order to keep our Blue Blossom Pregnancy Centers open.
Our critical fundraiser for this is our annual Run/Walk for Life.I can't emphasize enough how much we need your help right now. It is difficult to ask, but if I don't how many more victims of Hurricane Harvey will there be.
Our Run/Walk for Life date has been moved to Saturday, October 14th at All Saints Catholic Church from 8-11AM.
Please sign up to be a walker or runner or please sponsor one. You can do either by going here.
Please know that you and your families are in our prayers and please keep us in yours. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
