40 Days for Life - Houston - Day 11

This mountain will move!

A woman from Australia joined the Houston Coalition for Life during the 40 Days for Life - Houston, to pray outside of the giant Planned Parenthood abortion facility here in Houston.  When asked what she thought about being out there to pray, she motioned to the building, "You can feel the tremendous power here that we are up against."

"But there is also hope because of people come out here to pray and to act!"

She explained that very morning she had read "from Matthew, about if you have the faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain."  Referring to the Planned Parenthood, she said, "This mountain will move."

Matthew 17: 20-21: "Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'from from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Along with this woman, we pray that this massive abortion facility will close and all of the abortion workers will move out of the abortion industry and find work that is life affirming and healing. We pray that they will be healed through the power of the Saving Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ!  And may those of us on the pro-life side always remember to add to such meditations on the power of God, Corinthians 13:2-6!

Thank you to the Catholic Charismatic Center for covering Saturday in prayer for an end to abortion!

As we unite with the International 40 Days for Life and their 375 locations around the world in prayer, we pray with them a specific prayer intention and scripture verse.

Oct 7th, Day 11:

Intention: Pray that when those representing Planned Parenthood and other abortion groups see volunteers for 40 Days for Life, they see ambassadors of Christ, and may each volunteer be consciously aware at all times of Whom we represent.

Scripture: I...beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness, and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love. — Ephesians 4:1b-2

Sunday, Oct 8th, Day 12:

Intention: May the King of the Universe, who entered this world as a helpless infant, give us the humility to be healed.

Scripture: My power is made perfect in weakness. —2 Corinthians 12:9

Friday, the Big Blue Bus was blessed with two visits. One woman had a new pregnancy and the other was returning for a follow up visit. Both are planning to parent their babies at this point.

Please pray for these two woman and also for a woman and her newborn. She and her baby are still in the hospital at this point.

All praise and glory to God!
