40 Days for Life - Houston - Day 10

"The flags outside Planned Parenthood are at half-mast?! How hypocritical!"

Over the last week, quite a few people have commented on on the fact that Planned Parenthood's flags are being flown at half-mast.  If you think about it, it is quite hypocritical for them show sympathy for the mass shooting in Las Vegas, but they continue to use medication and medical instruments to kill an average of 26 babies* EVERY SINGLE DAY!  They do not shoot a gun--they medically deprive the unborn victim of oxygen until they die or the abortionists tear their tiny bodies into pieces while still in utero.

One of the Stand & Pray volunteers said that she thought the flags should be at half-mast every day at Planned Parenthood because of all the lives being ended inside.

At Houston Coalition for Life, our heartfelt prayers go out to the victims and the families of the 59 dead and 500 wounded in Las Vegas. Still this does not allow us to ignore the 26+ who loose their lives and the media looks the other way even when the media reporter and camera crew are present outside the Planned Parenthood as an ambulance wheels out a gurney carrying a Planned Parenthood client!

Thank you to St. Matthew Catholic Church for sponsoring this day of prayer for an end to abortion! Thank you also to Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and to all the people from Mary Queen, St. Luke's, Sacred Heart (Pattison) and others who joined us in prayer on the sidewalk today!

As we unite with the International 40 Days for Life and their 375 locations around the world in prayer, we pray with them a specific prayer intention and scripture verse.

Oct 6th, Day 10:

Intention:  Pray for your local pregnancy help center: for those who answer calls from women considering abortion, those who provide ultrasounds, and those who personally help mothers prepare to parent or place for adoption.

Scripture: Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. - Psalm 82:4

Thursday, the Big Blue Bus was blessed to have 8 visits. Of these women, 3 had a negative pregnancy test, 4 had new pregnancies and 1 was returning for a follow up visit. At this point, all the pregnant woman are planning to parent. Please keep all of these women in your prayers!

All praise and glory to God!
