40 Days for Life - Houston - Day 30

"I couldn't believe it. She got on the bus!"

A young woman and a young man standing in the parking lot of the Planned Parenthood, paused to look at the large group out on the sidewalk - the pro-lifers praying for an end to abortion.  One of the prayer participants thought to herself, "Here I don't have any brochures or coupons to hand them," yet she saw they were willing to converse.

She asked them if they wanted to receive the free assistance on the Big Blue Bus, and they looked at her not quite comprehending. So she tried another language and they soon were on the Big Blue Bus!  There is nothing like the feeling of helping get someone away from the abortion facility to a place where both woman and child will be safe!

A few more people came out and apologized to this same volunteer saying they could only be out there to pray for twenty minutes.  She responded, "Even if you can only be here for 20 minutes, you have no idea when that one moment, that one prayer, that one interaction can make a difference."  Today, the sidewalk was populated with a lot of people in prayer for an end to abortion!

Thank you  in a special way to Bishop Cahill, Fr. Jasper, Fr. Tommy and Fr. Jacob of the Diocese of Victoria and also to Fr. McFall and Fr. Waldemar of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston for coming to lead prayer for an end to abortion today!

The Diocese of Victoria brought out 4 Sisters, a large group of homeschoolers, and students from Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic School.  The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston was represented by Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Cecilia, and St. John Vianney each officially sponsoring the day of prayer for an end to abortion!  Thank you also to the individuals from a number of other churches as well!

We had a lot of people taking literature today, and quite a few "turn-aways" from the huge Planned Parenthood abortion facility!

As we unite with the International 40 Days for Life and their 375 locations around the world in prayer, we pray with them a specific prayer intention and scripture verse.

Oct 26th, Day 30:

Intention:  That those tempted to abort may understand that their child is already present, and already a real person.

Scripture:  And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. -Luke 1:41-44

Wednesday, the Big Blue Bus was blessed to have 9 visits. Of these women, 1 had a negative pregnancy test, 3 had new pregnancies and 5 came for a follow up visit. At this point, all of these moms are planning to parent. Please keep these women in your prayers!

All praise and glory to God!
