If they are at Planned Parenthood for service other than abortion, isn't it still a problem? Yes.
Today, a young woman stopped on her way into the Planned Parenthood parking lot and spoke with one of our sidewalk counselors. She had no idea that this Planned Parenthood was an abortion facility! She knew Planned Parenthood did abortions, but she didn't know the operations were actually done in this building.
The young woman told the sidewalk counselor that she was against abortion. She had been a teen mom and she would never get an abortion. She loved her 3 boys! She said, "It is not the baby's fault. You made the decision when you were doing what you were doing!" She added, "The baby has no voice."
She expressed a preference to go to another place at another time, yet she had an appointment and appeared to plan to continue with that appointment today.
The sidewalk counselor encouraged her not to go in at all because the money is going into the same place that they are doing the abortions.
So often we can see the look on people's faces that seems to say: I'm not for abortion, so how does someone else's abortion affect me? I'm not doing anything wrong here, so why not keep the appointment?
When I see this response, I think back to another sidewalk counselor who said: "You wouldn't go to a dry cleaner if you knew they were abusing children in the back, would you?"
I always think, if a business is making money from destroying a child, why would you even want to go into the building for any service, let alone pay for it? In this building, Planned Parenthood systematically ends the lives of thousands of children each year AND harvests their body parts.
Sometimes we hear so many bad things in this world that we become desensitized to the reality that our tax money is paying for a business that literally abuses women and encourages sexually promiscuous behavior that has caused a spike in breast cancer, STD's and the death of children through abortion following "unintended pregnancies".
There are so many other places to go for actual healthcare - the mammograms, Well-woman exams and so much more - www.HealthyTexasWomen.org
Thank you to St. Luke Catholic Church for sponsoring this day of prayer for an end to abortion! And thank you to all the individuals who came out to pray today for an end to abortion!
UNITING WITH 40 DAYS FOR LIFE AROUND THE WORLD!
As we unite with the International 40 Days for Life and their 375 locations around the world in prayer, we pray with them a specific prayer intention and scripture verse.
Oct 31st, Day 35:
Intention: Pray for post-abortive women who cannot forgive themselves; may they understand that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Scripture: Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sin is covered. Blessed is the one to whom the Lord shall not impute sin. - Romans 4:7-8
