40 Days for Life - Houston - Day 36

Abortion affects more than just one generation.

Yesterday, a prayer partner on the sidewalk shared a great story of a fellow prayer partner, "Jackie."  "Jackie" came out to pray outside of the abortion facility because she is thankful for her husband. As an unborn child, the little boy who grew up to one day become her husband, was almost aborted. She was so grateful that his mother had chosen life instead.

The prayer partner added, "So many women don't know, when abortion ends a life, it prevents all the children that could have been born after that unborn child became an adult."

Sadly, abortion has gone on for so long, that now we estimate some of the millions who have been aborted since Roe V. Wade would be the peers of some grandparents.  Three generations missing.

And the effect that one person has on so many others is incredible.

We ask YOU today, to pray for three of our moms in a special way. One is very stubborn about aborting right now. One is being pressured to abort right now. One chose life for her baby under difficult circumstances and the baby is in the hospital right now. Of course please continue to keep everyone who was affected by the Hurricane Harvey in your prayers as well. #TexasStrong #HoustonStrong #HCLStrong

Thank you to St. Paul Catholic Church for sponsoring this day of prayer for an end to abortion!  And thank you to Love Let's Live and all the individuals who came out to pray today for an end to abortion!

As we unite with the International 40 Days for Life and their 375 locations around the world in prayer, we pray with them a specific prayer intention and scripture verse.

Nov 1st, Day 36:

Intention:  We pray for the gift of openness to children.

Scripture:   God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth." - Genesis 1:27-28

Tuesday, the Big Blue Bus was blessed to have 6 visits. Of these women, 2 had negative pregnancy tests, 3 had new pregnancies, and 1 came for a follow up visit. At this point, all of these moms are planning to parent. Please keep these women in your prayers!

All praise and glory to God!
