40 Days for Life - Houston - Day 39 & 40

"The abortion issue is THAT personal."

It is not uncommon to hear from the pro-abortion side that the decision to abort is a personal decision.  As pro-lifers, we agree that abortion issue affects our society on a very personal level.

The unborn child is personally attacked during the procedure.A post-abortive woman suffers within her own personal life afterwards.A post-abortive father suffers within his own personal relationships when he realizes how an abortion has harmed his loved ones.Members of society are personally affected by a culture that allows for the vulnerable and the weak of their society to be legally abandoned and destroyed. Pro-lifers often come out for personal reasons too.

Most importantly, pregnant moms are redirected to life saving help and usually choose life because of that personal interaction on the sidewalk.  They NEED us to be there peacefully and prayerfully - the abortion issue is THAT personal.

At Houston Coalition for Life, we ask YOU to join us in being that PERSONAL antidote by coming to pray outside of the Mega Planned Parenthood abortion facility on I45.

Sign up for 1 hour to pray  on our new online calendar!  Sign up for our sidewalk counselor training,  Tuesday, Nov 14.  Contact Theresa@houstoncoalition.com for time and location!

UNITING WITH 40 DAYS FOR LIFE AROUND THE WORLD!

As we unite with the International 40 Days for Life and their 375 locations around the world in prayer, we pray with them a specific prayer intention and scripture verse.

Saturday, Nov 4th, Day 39:

Intention:  Pray that volunteers will replace exhaustion or discouragement with rejoicing over the miracles we have seen thus far, and enthusiastic service as God takes us on to victory!

Scripture:  In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. - 1 Peter 1:6-7

Sunday, Nov 5th, Day 40:

Intention:  Let us keep our eyes fixed on the New Jerusalem, where death will be no more.

Scripture:  He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, [for] the old order has passed away." The one who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new."  - Revelation 21:4-5a*
