Celebrating as the AMERICAN FLAG still waves o'r the land of the free!

(Text taken from our July 4th email.)

Our inherent freedoms are bestowed on us by God as soon as our life begins, at the moment of conception...whether or not the political governing authority acknowledges it.  The formation of how the new human being will carry out God's plan for their lives also begins at conception.

On this 4th of July, at Houston Coalition for Life we salute those who fought for our freedoms and those who built this nation because we understand nothing great can be maintained without love and sacrifice.  And we celebrate the love and sacrifices that give unborn children and their mothers a more cohesive and stable future.

We also salute the American Flag that symbolizes the American Dream: that if you work hard and you have talent and perseverance, you can achieve your goals and not be limited by your race, your creed, nor whether you are a man or a woman. We pray that one day, in America, humans will also NOT be limited (nor eliminated) because of their age.

We honor the time-held principles that make these United States of America great and we pray that those traditions will not be forgotten but handed on to every child born on this soil.

Today we take time not just to rejoice with over 9,100 mothers and their babies saved from abortion, we rejoice because they have the opportunity to make something out of their lives and to make this country a better place, not just for self-centered success or fame, but as a conduit of God's saving grace by strengthening the love of the family and laying foundational hope for the future.

We pray you take a moment with the upcoming elections, to ask yourself: "What freedoms are we preserving and building to hand on to our children, born and unborn?! How can we expect a nation to protect our individual freedoms when the very offspring of the family is not legally protected?!"

Fully aware that it is God that gives us the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, we encourage you to take time as family to thank God for our freedoms and to ask Him how to best preserve them.

May God give us strength in how to proceed in the coming months and give us many more celebrations of the 4th of July!

God bless you and God bless America!
