The Houston Coalition for Life hosted its 2nd Annual Christmas Open House on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Blue Blossom Pregnancy Centers (BBPC) central office on Main Street. We congratulate Sue Racciato who won our door prize - a beautiful chocolate basket.
This festive event enabled us to thank our existing supporters, volunteers and share our mission with new visitors who were eager to find out more about HCL. We enjoyed festive music, drinks, and nibbles while touring the office and our mobile crisis pregnancy center affectionately named "Baby Blue."
Since January 2017, the BBPC has helped, counseled and supported 2,583 women, of these women 1,253 had a positive pregnancy test, and 1,188 of these women chose life. A success rate of 95%!
As we embark on this Christmas season, we at HCL are taking some time to reflect and to give thanks to our supporters and volunteers who enable us to serve women in crisis. Hurricane Harvey challenged our local community; we had an urgent need for funds to support our clients who flooded. Abortion groups were collecting donation to offer Harvey victims FREE abortions; we were available to help even more women who were in crisis. Our thanks go to God for His grace and for the generosity of Houstonians who reached out and enabled us to help our client's needs.
Through it all, we remain hopeful. We know that different outcomes are possible because we witness our clients achieving them every day. With options, resources, and relentless hard work and encouragement. The Houston Coalition for Life (HCL) is committed to the successes and to ending abortion prayerfully and lovingly.
The Houston Coalition for Life wishes you all a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
