Elective Abortions are currently NOT legal!
(Abortion and ongoing Irreparable Damages?)
Following Executive Order GA09, elective abortions temporarily can not be done in Texas.
Sadly on March 30th, Judge Lee Yeakel granted a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) to allow abortions to continue in Texas until the telephone hearing on April 13, 2020 (linked here).
FORTUNATELY, TODAY (March 31st) in an extraordinary measure, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals overruled the TRO.
AT THIS POINT, elective abortions cannot be done in the State of Texas as explained in the formal letter by Texas Attorney General Paxton and Gov Abbott's Executive Order GA 09 issued March 22, 2020.
Gov Abbott's executive order clearly stated that all elective procedures need to be temporarily postponed or canceled in order to ensure there is enough Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for hospitals to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
While Paxton did make an appeal to the Fifth Circuit, it is unusual for the legal system to accept the appeal before a hearing results in a preliminary injunction. (A preliminary injunction is a more official temporary stay preceding a trial to bring about a permanent injunction - which is the ultimate aim of the abortion business that wants to continuously make money from abortions. The TRO is just to fill the immediate short gap before the hearing.)
In the TRO, Federal Judge Yeakel, an abortion activist on the bench, allowed for the maximum number of days before the hearing. And he agreed that the plaintiffs (Planned Parenthood et al) "they will suffer irreparable harm if temporary relief is not granted"....
What is next? The hearing will still take place on April 13th, and Judge Yeakel will likely rule with the abortion industry, and then the Fifth Circuit will likely overturn his ruling again.
Now on the face of it, this "irreparable harm" clause is standard wording, but if you take a step back for just a moment... We'd like to ask
What other businesses and organizations will suffer irreparable harm because of being temporarily shut down as a result of Covid-19? Would Judge Yeakel just give a temporary stay to everyone that has to stop, not just the abortion industry?
What about all the employees being laid off? Or those who are not being paid while the store is not open? And yet the industry that refuses to stop stealing the lives of children through a procedure known as abortion will include Planned Parenthood that gets over half a BILLION of dollars in Tax Payer Money EACH YEAR?
In a time when working families need as much practical assistance as possible, the abortion industry is encouraging that they end the life of their unborn child.
And what about the fact that Whole Women's Health in Fort Worth didn't close even after their abortionist complained about suffering from Covid-19 symptoms (Read more here)?
And the abortionists won't stop doing ELECTIVE abortions for ONE MONTH, but would rather selfishly sue the State of Texas during a worldwide pandemic. The abortion industry is unjustly costing the State of Texas time and money that should be spent in healing people!
We need to pray, y'all.
Because there are people who are actually suffering irreparable damages when it comes to abortion. These DEFINITELY INCLUDE each unborn baby whose very life is getting snuffed out when a legal system fails to protect their innocent life from abortion (as in other States), and there is irreparable damage suffered by each mother who has to live with an abortion experience that she can't take back.

And as an important side note, for all of you curious about who is supposed to be upholding the executive order that was shutting down abortions from March 22 - April 21, you can read on page 4 of the abortion activists' own TRO:
"These criminal penalties also trigger administrative enforcement provisions for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, the Texas Medical Board, and the Texas Board of Nursing, each of which is authorized to pursue disciplinary action against licensees who violate criminal laws. See 25 Tex. Admin. Code § 139.32(b)(6), 135.24(a)(1)(F); 22 Tex. Admin. Code § 185.17(11); Tex. 0cc. Code Ann. § 164.05 1(a)(2)(B), (a)(6); 301.452(b)(3), (b)(10)."
Those who violated the order "aren't out of the woods yet".
