You know, when firemen rescue people from a burning building they have to wear a mask to protect themselves. At this point in the game, it's going to be "hot as blazes" out on that sidewalk, but with the new requirement handed down by Gov Abbott, and people who like to talk on the sidewalk, we need to have that mask handy.
Thank you to everyone who came out to pray today, on the Friday before Independence Day. And thank you for staying spread out to comply with new Texas Regulations. Gov. Abbot's Executive Order GA29: "Not excepted [i.e. non-exempt] from this face-covering requirement is any person attending a protest or demonstration involving more than 10 people and who is not practicing safe social distancing of six feet from other people not in the same household."
For those who want to come pray with us, often there are LESS than 10 people present at any given time. However, it is still a good idea if you plan to be anywhere within a 6 ft radius of another person to please wear a mask. It is considerate for the pregnant woman we are trying to help redirect to life-affirming care. Also, keep in mind we have free signs for those who come out regularly to take home with them which limits interaction even further.
