Pregnancy Tests
We offer our clients lab-quality pregnancy tests to confirm their pregnancy at no cost. Our free services remove barriers for women who may be facing an unplanned or crisis pregnancy.
Official Proof of Pregnancy
We provide our clients with an official proof of pregnancy for the state of Texas which they need to apply for Medicaid to help them get started with the appropriate care necessary for their health and their baby’s health.
Ultrasounds
Once a pregnancy is confirmed, we offer our clients free ultrasounds to introduce them to their baby and confirm the gestational age of their baby. We also invite our moms back for a follow up ultrasound and keep in touch with them throughout their pregnancy to ensure they have what they need to care for their baby.
Confidential Counseling
Every pregnancy is unique and has its own set of challenges. We provide free and confidential counseling to the women we serve. Our dedicated team members help our moms every step of the way providing them with the information and resources they need as they navigate this important life step.
Maternal Assistance Program
Our main office houses the Maternal Assistance Program which offers the Curriculum of Life classes as well as individualized help and support to the moms we serve. We provide essential baby items like diapers, wipes, clothes as well as other items like car seats, strollers, Pack N’ Plays, and more to moms in need.
Curriculum of Life Classes
Our Curriculum of Life is a series of free classes with topics such as Childbirth, Newborn Care, Baby Wellness, CPR for Infants, Breastfeeding, and so much more which provide necessary tools for any parent. For every class our moms attend, they receive a free pack of diapers along with the opportunity to receive other baby items they might need.
Adoption Referrals
Gifting a family with a child is one of the most courageous acts someone can do. We have a network of credible and professional adoption agencies in the area to which we can refer our clients. In addition to a list of approved agencies, we provide free educational resources.
Community Assistance Referrals
We understand that often there is more than parenting resources that are needed. We work with other local organizations to provide families with the community and financial resources that can guide them into a stable future. Services are free and confidential.
Individualized Support
Every pregnancy is unique and has its own set of challenges. A plan that worked for someone else might not be the right fit for another. Houston Coalition for Life is dedicated to providing our moms with as much information as they need to feel confident to care for and nurture her baby.
